Memorials

Kelsey and I went to D.C. and toured the monuments with our cousins.  It was a hot day, but we survived a 3 hour tour around the tidal basin and saw all of the memorials.

Kelsey had such a good time she took a 45 minute nap in her stroller at the end of the day.  The Vietnam Memorial is the in the background.

Sailabration

My 2nd Cousin, Kelly, and her husband, Ryan, and son, Levi, came out from Omaha, Nebraska for 10 days to visit us and go sightseeing.  We were super excited to have them.  Kelsey and Levi are twins since they were born on the same day, Kelsey 4 hours earlier.  The two of them played well together and both learned new things from each other.  Levi is now saying a few more words clearer, and Kelsey can climb up and down the stairs easier.

On Monday, June 18th we went to Baltimore to see the Sailabration that was going on to celebrate the the 200 year anniversary of the War of 1812.  We got to go on some ships and tour the Baltimore Harbor.  Unfortunately, it was a little rainy, but that didn't stop us from having a good time.

Nothing like a bath to end a day.  They look so thrilled don't they?  They'll appreciate this when they are older. :-)

Belated Father's Day

One day I'll catch up on my posts and actually show pictures on time.  So, on Father's Day we got to spend the afternoon at my parents house.  We had some family in town, so it was an extra special day to see family from Colorado, Uncle George and Aunt Connie, along with my cousins from Nebraska, see next post for all of the names. :-)

Play Dates and Baby Dolls

With school being out Kelsey and I have been very busy with having play dates and playing with her baby dolls, which is her favorite.  Even her friend Liam got into playing with Kelsey's baby and stroller.  He was practicing to get ready for his new baby sister who came the next week.  We can't wait to meet Baby Emma.
Kelsey loves feeding her babies milk and juice, no matter where she is in the house.

Lily and Dean came over to play on June 14th.

Even Daddy helps feed the babies.

Family, Friends, and Baseball!!!

What more could you want in a weekend than family, friends and baseball?  On June 9th NanNan and PopPop came to visit and brought back some wonderful gifts from their cruise of the Mediterrainean. Kelsey loved watching PopPop play with her Pinocchio puppet from Pisa and wearing her new dress from Greece.  Whitey and Krista then came to visit and went to Kelsey's first professional baseball game, which happened to be the Phillies playing the Orioles. It was 95 degrees outside, but Kelsey was a trooper and had a great time.  We met up with Cousin Rob where he was disappointed to see the Orioles win.

PopPop never gives up an opportunity to read to Kelsey.  It was such a beautiful morning we spent it outside playing and of course Kelsey got NanNan to take her to the swing.

Kelsey made two best friends this weekend.  Thanks Krista and Whitey for playing dolls and blocks!

Gotta eat snacks during the game.  I couldn't tell you how many times we refilled the sippy cup to keep her hydrated.  We were thrilled for how well she behaved.  It's probably because it was sooo hot.

Everyone had their turn to take a picture with Kelsey at the game.

Watkins Park

Grandpa and Shirley went to Watkins Park where Kelsey got to ride a carousel for the first time on June 6th.  She also got to sport her new t-shirt from the library in the outfit Grandpa picked out.  Thanks for the shirt which she can grow into for years Grandpa!

Jack Jack's Birthday

Kelsey and I had a fun time visiting friends at Trinity for my Godmother Linda's retirement reception and then it was off to Jack Jack's first birthday party on June 3rd.  Daddy was off editing his fabulous movie for the 48 hour film fest.

I was thrilled to see my good friend Isabelle who I worked with at Concordia's Summer Camp with many years ago.  Her daughter Vanessa became best friends with Kelsey. Even Grandpa got some girl time.

The three older ones are the wonderful Pratico kids who watched growing up, and now they are holding my little one.  Mark met Ryan, on the left, when Ryan was about Kelsey's age.

Kelsey loves her bubbles!  I need to look into getting one of these bubble machines, she just loved it!!!!

 Yummy cake!

Happy 1st Birthday Jack Jack!  Thanks for inviting us to your party!!!
