Pumpkin carving

It's been a busy week so we hadn't found time to carve our pumpkin until tonight. Mark had it all ready and set up when we got back from choir practice. Evan was napping, we'll get a picture with him later. Great job daddy and Kelsey.

Princess Ballerina

We signed Kelsey up for a princess ballerina class through Parks and Rec. Her friend Josie, in picture below, to the class before so we thought we'd try it since Kelsey lives to dance around the living room. She's not learning technical dance moves but how to follow directions from a teacher and make movements. She was surprised when I told her about it and loved it. Luckily for us we had some leotards from Melissa's friend, which made me think of putting in the class. Look out Grace, here comes Kelsey!

Trunk or Treat

Today our church had a Trunk or Treat event. The kids trick or treated at cars and then had snacks and crafts inside. Kelsey is a fairy princess and Evan a lion. Grandma made the awesome costumes. Our friends Brianna and Zac decorated their car and their costumes were a dish and a spoon along with baby Xander add a cow. Zeke, their older son was the moon. You see Zeke with Kelsey and Josie, who was Rainbow Bright. It was a beautiful evening that was a lot of fun.

Happy Boy

These are all from October. Evan is a very happy boy and he lives sitting up to play.

Sidewalk Chalk Fun

On Friday October 17th I drive home to find this in our front yard. Kelsey absolutely loves chalk. Granpa did a great job. I hosted Meghan's baby shower the next day and everyone loved seeing the art work.

Rewind-Granpa Field Trips

Granpa has been enjoying his time with the two kids, I think.  So much so he decided to take the kids to Cracker Barrel for lunch, back on Sept. 3rd. He got compliments from other customers for how brave he was to take the two kids by himself.  This is so nice to hear. :-)

Then, on Sept. 11th they went to the Anne Arundel County Fair. This is a tradition for Kelsey and Granpa, especially watching the duck and pig races.  Kelsey loves to model what the ducks look like when they race.

Nebraska, sadly again

Mark, Evan, and I, along with Grandpa, flew out to Nebraska for Great Grandma's funeral on September 28th.  It was a quick trip so Kelsey stayed with NanNan and PopPop.  Evan was a good distraction and he got to meet a few more cousins.  Cousin Erin, Sarah and Izzy's mom, from Colorada was there along with my cousin Brian who lives in New Hampshire. Great to see family, sad to be in West Point so soon.

We are still figuring out how to Rent-A-Isabelle.  She's great with Evan!

Evan sitting up

Evan loves to chew on everything and anything he can.  He especially loves these shape blocks. These were taken on Sept. 27th.  Notice in the one picture and the video he has his knees bending under him.  I haven't seen that too much again, but give it time.  He loves to sit-up and play with this toys.

Lily's 4th Birthday

On September 21st, we went to Lily's 4th birthday party.  She had it at the Playseum in Bethesda which is a small indoor children's museum.  Kelsey had a good time playing in the different rooms which had a painting station and a tea party.  She wanted to stay in the room with a big dollhouse, but we finally got her out and playing in other areas.  This was the first time getting her nails painted, which was very special.
