National Book Festival

I'll catch up on our trip and the rest of August soon, but here are some recent pictures.  On Saturday, September 24th Kelsey, Granpa, and I went to the National Book Festival at the Washington Convention Center.  We got to ride the Metro, see vendor tables and do a state map quest where we got a map stamped for each state and territory.  We got a lot of swag as well!  Thanks Grandma for spending the day with Evan.

 We went to a splash park one morning.  The kids said the water was freezing, but a good time was had!

Denver Part 2

They say it's the best view of Denver and it truly was.  This first picture is the view from the science museum where the kids got to explore and play.  Then we went to a pool.  In the evenings, the kids loved to play together at Erin's house where there were doll houses and Legos, what more could you want?

To finish up our summer we went to Aurora and Fort Collins, CO to visit lots and lots of family.  One of the first things we did was to go to Loveland's Pass in the Rocky Mountains.  My cousin Brian and his two kids, Cameron and Evelyn were with us from New Hampshire along with Melissa and her crew from North Carolina.  We stayed with my cousin Erin and her girls Isabelle and Sarah and got to visit with my Uncle George and Aunt Connie.  My Aunts, Marie and Karen, from Lincoln and Chicago came out along with my parents.  We had a fun, fun, fun time!  Miss them all!!!

 We got to ride in a gondola up in Breckenridge which was scary but super fun.  The boys rode together in one and the girls in another.
