9 months!

Wow, time has flown!  Kelsey turned 9 months yesterday Oct. 21st.  Grandpa took her to pick out her pumpkin that Daddy will hopefully carve today at our friend's house, pictures to follow.  The ear of corn is from the corn maze. She is still wearing 3-6 month clothes and is a very good eater.  On Monday we go for her 9 month appt. so we will have more information about her weight and height then.

Katie, Tim, and Emily came over tonight to have some Kelsey time.  She was more than happy to entertain them.

Corn Maze

There is a corn maze near our house that was open on Columbus Day, so Grandpa took Kelsey.  On their way over a bridge a couple asked Grandpa to take their picture, and then they took one of Kelsey with Grandpa.

Party Girl

Last Saturday, the 8th, Kelsey had a very busy day.  It started with getting her ready to crawl, but going no where.  She still hasn't crawled yet, but we are getting closer and closer everyday.

Two of my very close friends had babies 2 days apart.  What does that mean for Kelsey?  2 parties in one day.  First we were off to Dean's 1st birthday party where Mommy got to spend time with her "Prettygirls."  They all had their chance to spend time with Kelsey.

                                                                First, time with Julia.

Then, she hung out with Kim and watched Dean with Godmommy Meghan.

Christina got to give Kelsey her bottle and then she was off to go swinging with Goddaddy Dan.

Dean had a great time running around and playing with his cake.

These two are meant for each other.  Kelsey came to the party with a bug bite on her forehead and Dean had a scratch on his nose from finding the sidewalk.  Aren't they a cute couple?

After this party we were off to Lily's first birthday party.  When we got there Lily was taking her nap, so Kelsey played with Kristen and then got to hang out with Lily.

Ready for School

Grandpa drops Kelsey off at school somedays when I have to work late so that I can spend time with her and then Mark picks her up on his way home.  I think she's ready for school.  I just have to find a desk small enough for her.  My students would love to have her there. :-)

Loving to Fall

Kelsey loves to practice her standing.  She's not pulling herself up yet, but if Mark or I hold her up she wobbles for a moment and then falls, and she loves it!

NanNan babysits

Grandpa took a few days off to go down to N.C. and visit Nathan for his birthday, so NanNan came down to babysit Kelsey.  Of course I didn't get pictures the 4 days she was here until right before she left.  Thanks NanNan for coming down to play.  You are welcome anytime!!!  Bring PopPop too!

While NanNan was here Kelsey army crawled her way over to our DVD rack and pulled off the bottom movies.  This was hilarious to watch as she looked at the movies like she was actually picking one out to watch.  Once she noticed I was taking pictures, she turned and looked..."I didn't do it."
"I didn't do it."

Playdate at Kinder Park Farm

Last week Thursday I had off so my teacher friends decided it would be a great day to have a playdate.  These are the babies I would see during my maternity leave.  They have all gotten so big!  We met at Kinder Park Farm which has a playground so the 2 and 3 year olds could run around.  I brought a blanket for the babies to roll around on.  There were 7 babies, 7 adults, and 2 toddlers.  There is a section at the farm with animals, but no pictures were taken during that part because Kelsey was on the brink of a nap, so we kept her in her stroller.  No pictures of the new baby to the group.  She is only 4 weeks old and was sleeping the whole time in her stroller.

Above: Carlee, Kendall, Eleanor, and Kelsey. Carlee and Kendall (8 months) are twins and Eleanor (almost 8 months) is their cousin.
Below Left: Kelsey and Tyler (7 months).  Below Right: Braeden (4 months), Tyler, and Kelsey.

Swing and a new hat

Kelsey and Grandpa went outside, on Sept. 26th to try out. Kelsey's swing.  She fits in it much better now. That evening my friend Sarah came over to hang out since Mark was out of town.  Her mom, Rhoda, was kind to knit Kelsey a pumpkin hat.  It fits perfectly and Kelsey kept it on while she crawled around the living room.  Thanks Rhoda!!!

Towson Homecoming

Mark and I got to take Kelsey to her first Towson tailgating at Homecoming on Sept. 24th.  Unfortunately, the game was at 7 pm and that is too late for Kelsey to be at the game, so we came home after hanging out with Timm, Kristen, Meghan, Dan, Jenn, and Sean.  Everyone had their chance of holding and playing with Kelsey.  A great time was had by all, except when Timm was holding her. :-)
