Pumpkin carving and Jack Jack

Back on Oct. 22nd we went to our friend's the Farley's for a pumpkin carving party.  Kelsey had a chance to hang out with her friend Jack, almost 5 months. Mark worked his daddy magic and carved Kelsey her first pumpkin. That morning, she was practicing her crawling. She was struggling with how to move her arms and legs at the same time.

Trick or Treat

Kelsey was a real trooper going around with Tori, Emily, and Daddy. Thanks Grace for letting Kelsey borrow your costume! She had a great time and can't wait until next year when she can walk up to the doors.

Happy Halloween!

These are some of Kelsey's 9 month pictures Mark took at our house.  Kelsey is not standing, that was just a quick shot Mark got while I was waiting in the wings to catch her when she fell.   The plan is for Mark to take her in a wagon with our 9 year old friend Emily.  I'm going to hand out candy with Katie at her house. Pictures will be posted later this week. Have a safe and  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Pictures by Grandpa

Whenever we leave Kelsey with someone else we always leave the camera and say, "Take a picture if she does something cute."  When is she not doing something cute?  Here are some "cute" things Grandpa captured.  Thanks Grandpa!

Kelsey can get her butt up, but she hasn't figured out how to move her arms and legs at the same time.  She then pushes her butt all the way up and gets on her tippy toes.  Army crawling on her tummy is still her favorite way to get around quickly.

Lots of fun toys and fun for Kelsey.  She even got herself into the Nebraska Trip book.

Kelsey also took a trip to Daddy's work.  I think she's ready to be hired. :-)

Busy Last Day

On Sunday the 16th we started our day by going to Grandma and Grandpa's church where Grandpa plays the organ.  Kelsey got her first lesson in how to play.  Then, we went to lunch at a local favorite restaurant, Franklin's, where there is a toy store attached.  Great Aunt Karen bought Kelsey some linking monkeys which they played with that afternoon.  Kelsey got her time with everyone before they all left.

This is as close we will let Kelsey get to Felix the Cat.  He's not very friendly most of the time.
Great Aunt Karen entertained Kelsey by reading a book and playing with the new linking monkeys.

These are our first and only pictures with Mr. Mike.  Glad we got them. :-)

Even great Aunt Marie got to play with the monkeys.

The fun didn't stop at bathtime.  Mommy had a little fun with the soap and Kelsey's hair.

More Family to Come!

Kelsey and Nathan had a good time together.  This was great practice for Nathan since Melissa and Shawn are expecting a baby with the due date of April 4th.  We are very excited and know that Nathan will be a wonderful big brother!!! Congrats Melissa and Shawn!!!!

Out of town Family

Last week, Great Aunt Karen, her boyfriend Mike, and Great Aunt Marie came to go sightseeing around D.C.  Luckily Melissa and Nathan were able to come up to visit as well.  The next few posts will be showing the fun times Kelsey had playing and visiting with everyone.  Thanks for coming and we miss you!!!

Grandpa took Nathan and Kelsey to our local library for their Babies in Bloom program.

Great Aunt Marie got to feed Kelsey her dinner while Great Aunt Karen played tricks on Nathan with Grandma's cloth apples.

9 months!

Wow, time has flown!  Kelsey turned 9 months yesterday Oct. 21st.  Grandpa took her to pick out her pumpkin that Daddy will hopefully carve today at our friend's house, pictures to follow.  The ear of corn is from the corn maze. She is still wearing 3-6 month clothes and is a very good eater.  On Monday we go for her 9 month appt. so we will have more information about her weight and height then.

Katie, Tim, and Emily came over tonight to have some Kelsey time.  She was more than happy to entertain them.

Corn Maze

There is a corn maze near our house that was open on Columbus Day, so Grandpa took Kelsey.  On their way over a bridge a couple asked Grandpa to take their picture, and then they took one of Kelsey with Grandpa.
