First Hair Cut

Yesterday, Kelsey had a playdate with her friend Ben, 3 1/2, at MyGym.  It's an indoor Gym for kids.  We signed Kelsey up for classes so she has a chance to be with other kids in a routine class.  They just opened and had a free open house for two weeks.  Kelsey went so many times the workers already know her name.  After lunch with Ben and Sean we went to get Kelsey's first hair cut.  She was very patient and sat still the whole time.  We had been talking to her about it for a couple of weeks so she knew what to expect.  Its' a cute little bob haircut that will help her hair grow straight.

Ben and Kelsey loved the ball pit.

Carving Pumpkins

One day I'll catch up on my blogging.  On Oct. 27th we babysat my teammates 3 kids for a few hours.  I've known these kids for 7 years and they are wonderful!  Kailyn, 12, Emily 10, and Luke 5 almost 6.  They had a great time playing with Kelsey and the Wii. :-)  The next day we went to the annual Farley Pumpkin Carving.  Jack, 17 months was an adorable dragon.  Kelsey and Jack played well together.  Did I mention this was the Sunday before the hurricane came.   Good times!

Chuck E Cheese

My school had a fundraiser at Chuck E. Cheese on Oct. 18th.  We had lots of people come and help out my school:  Aunt Jenelle, Cousin Hazel, Aunt Karlee, Grandma, Grandpa, and Mark.  Kelsey had a blast playing the games and riding some rides. Thank you all for making the night a success!

Leaves!

Kelsey came outside with us on Oct. 13th while Mark and I raked leaves. She is wearing a hat Grandma made her and playing with her lawn mower from Aunt Melissa.  She can go up and down our playground in the backyard by herself and loves the slide!

If you like the hat, Grandma makes them for $10 in all different colors, pink, blue, and purple.  Let me know if you are interested.

Happy Halloween!!!

Kelsey had a very eventful Halloween.  First, she went to visit Daddy at work.  Then, she came to see Mommy at school and stayed for lunch and did some trick or treating around the front office.  Grandpa stopped by Target to pick up a few items and then they went home for lunch and a late naptime.  Kelsey went Trick or Treating with Daddy, Emily, and Mr. Tim.  I stayed with Katie and passed out candy at her house.  Kelsey actually went up to the houses and said Trick or Treat a few times and Thank you all the time.  She lasted about an hour. Daddy decided to bring her back because she was freezing and refused to put her coat on to be warm. A Happy Halloween was had by all!

Corn Maze

On October 14th we went to a local Corn Maze. Kelsey walked for 40 minutes and then we carried her as we tried to find our way out.  They had a corn play bin and a mini maze made out of hay.

Birthday Parties

Kelsey's friends Dean and Lily turned 2 earlier in October.  One weekend was Lily's party and the next was Dean's.  Kelsey had a great time celebrating with her friends!  At Lily's party they painted pumpkins and at Dean's she created a foam fish.  I need craft ideas to do at Kelsey's party.  You have 3 months to submit your ideas.

Dean is working hard on painting his pumpkin.

Kelsey put on her first temporary tatoo of Daisy Duck and a lamb.  She loved it!

Happy 2nd birthdays Dean and Lily!!!!

Odenton Day!

October 6 was Odenton Day.  We walked to the Odenton Historical Society and caught a bus which took us on a tour around Odenton.  We learned where the original elementary school was, which is now a residential house that we pass everyday, all about the train station, and churches that started long ago.  The bus took us to the fire department where there were tables set up from vendors of the area, a bounce house outside, and fire trucks for everyone to look at and climb in.  One church even had boat races where Kelsey made a boat out of a styrofoam cup and play-doh.  Grandpa met us there after taking the walking tour. We walked home through the train station.  It was a great day for Odenton!
