Camp Newburg Round 1

It's that time of year again....CAMP NEWBURG!!!  Grace and Kelsey went on Thursday, June 19th and we joined them that weekend.  It rained Saturday morning but that didn't stop the fun at Camp Newburg.  NanNan had all kinds of fun stuff for the girls to play with.  It was hard leaving Kelsey, especially since she got a fever Sat. night and it didn't go down all the way until Monday.  We came back July 2nd to a resounding "MOMMY, DADDY, I missed you!!!  but I miss Ella the most."  Right, Kelsey who barely talks to Ella when at home missed her the most.  It's great to be back with her!  Grace comes back with us for the week before she flies back to Florida.  Here are some pictures from our day of fun at Camp Newburg.

The girls got dressed up in their watermelon dresses for their Tea Party.  They picked out a make-up set at Target to play with at Camp Newburg.  NanNan helped them put the make-up on and they had tea.

NanNan found the new and hottest item out there right now, Kinetic Sand.  This stuff feels just like real wet sand.

There's a video I want to post, but I guess I'll have to wait until Blogger will let me upload. :-)

Coloring is always a good way to pass the time.
They had all of the Fisher Price toys out and made a town all over the living room.

And of course the swimming pool!  Luckily the sun came out and the girls headed for the pool. PopPop took one for the team and went into the pool with them. It was really cold due to the rain.  Thanks PopPop!

Mark got out Pap's old scooter and took the kids for a ride.  What a busy day we had!  Just think what they all got into when we left Camp Newburg.  Thanks NanNan and PopPop!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

We are up in Newburg for the 4th of July holiday to spend it at Whitey and Krista's house with friends.  Kelsey didn't like the fireworks at first, but then she sat with Mark and liked them. It was so late she started to doze off during them. The finale woke her up.   Evan fell asleep in his carseat in the house and slept through the whole thing.  We sit on Whitey and Krista's front lawn because they live across from the Shippensburg Park where they shoot them off.  You can't see the low ones very well because of trees, but the high ones are awesome! It was a chilly evening and of course why would I pack long sleeves for July in PA so Kelsey borrowed on of Daddy's shirts and wore that to keep warm.

Kelsey modeling her patriotic dress by the pool.

Of course Doggie had to come along for comfort from the loud noises.  He couldn't miss the show!

Good job Evan sleeping so that Mommy could watch the show outside.  Happy 4th!!!

Best Little Brother???

I can see this becoming a trend of buying Evan and Matthew matching outfits because, why not?  If you buy them they will get a picture in them.  We took pictures of the brothers with their sons then switched the babies to see if people could tell the difference on Facebook.  We didn't fool anyone.

3 Months!

One of these days I'll catch up and actually blog close to the date I took the pictures.  I should just combine 3 months and 4 months together.  Oh well, here was Evan on June 10th for his 3 month pictures.

Evan's Baptism

On June 8th Evan was baptized at our church, Our Shepherd Lutheran in Severna Park.  We were blessed to have so many family members and friends attend the service.  We think there were 11 kids under the age of 8 and no one had to leave during the service.  You'll see pictures of these kids below.  Mark's best friend, Christopher (a.k.a. Whitey), and his wife Krista are Evan's godparents.  They have a son, Madden, who just turned one in April.  After the service everyone came to our house for a luncheon and the kids just played and played.  Thanks to everyone who helped make this a special weekend for Evan. There are LOTS of pictures to follow, enjoy!
