Port Discovery

On Sunday Kelsey and I went to Port Discovery, a children's museum in Baltimore. A friend has a season pass so we went with them. Kelsey's friend Zeke had been away all summer in Minnesota with his family, Brianna and Xander, so the kids had fun playing together again.

Family Time

On Tuesday, August 4th the kids helped me bake a cake for Granpa.  I gave each one a cup of the batter and they mixed in food coloring so it was a colorful swirl cake.  The next day we went to Watkins Regional Park, after I went to the doctor for my pinky which I broke the evening before slipping on water in the garage.  Watkins renovated the park as a Wizard of Oz theme, which is awesome. They also have a carousel and farm.  The kids fed the animals and had a great time.

Saturday morning

The weather is gorgeous out this morning so the kids wanted to play bubbles, balls, and books on the deck. Kelsey did "baby school" which is turning into "toddler school".  Thanks Nathan and Kristen for sharing your Hello magazines. They're a hit!!

Splash Park Monday

Yesterday we started the day slow and got out Play Doh while Evan was down for a morning nap. Then we went to a pool near my parents that also has a splash park. Evan stayed with grandma and off we went. The kids had a blast!! Slides, water and snacks, what more could they ask for? The girls played mermaids in the baby pool while Granpa watched them. He got to be King Triton. Nathan had just taken swim lessons for a week and got to practice his new skills which were awesome! He was also tall enough to go down a bigger slide, see Melissa's post for those pictures. After the kids were in bed, Melissa and I finished the crabs. Thanks Grandma and Granpa for a great day!!!!

Crabs

Melissa and the kids have come to visit for the week and we started things off by having people over for crabs. It turned out to be a lovely evening with good friends. The kids played outside, inside, and even climbed our front tree, no pictures of that. Stay tuned for more adventures this week.
