Trip to NC part 2

Everyone loves to hold Kelsey.  Nathan had his chance and was concentrating so hard on holding her he didn't look up for the picture.  Nathan's friend Savannah, who lives down the street, loved holding Kelsey and didn't want to let her go.

KISSES FOR KELSEY!
Nathan is very good about giving kisses.  He is into kissing on the lips, which is very wet.  My favorite moment was when he was leaning down to kiss her, picture on the right, and Kelsey had her thumb in her mouth.  Nathan was so upset that he couldn't kiss her lips.  It was so sweet.  They are going to love these pictures when they are older. :-)

Trip to NC

Kelsey got to take her first long road trip to North Carolina with Mommy and Godmommy Meghan.  Daddy had to stay at home and work. Kelsey and Nathan got some quality cousin time. We had a great time and miss everyone down there.

Luckily, Meghan and I went Sunday night - Wednesday afternoon so Kelsey got quality Uncle Shawn time.  Nathan enjoyed playing with Kelsey's toys along with revisiting his old seat, the Bumbo.  I don't know many 2 year olds who can still fit it in it.

Aunt Melissa got to feed Kelsey her rice cereal, which she wanted to help with.  One happy Kelsey = Good Job Aunt Melissa!

See the tower of blocks that could've falled on Kelsey's head?  This is in reference to Shawn's post on Nathan's blog.  The blocks from Grandpa were a big hit and luckily no one was hurt.

One evening we went to a beach at a lake and tried to enjoy a cookout.  Unfortunately, all the flies and bees in the area came to join us for dinner.  The company and getting Kelsey to sleep were what made the evening great!  Miss Mikki got her baby girl fix in before having her own baby girl, due in November.

Christmas In July

Our friends Katie and Tim have a Christmas in July party every year.  It's a great way for them to get to use their Christmas decorations again.  There's a pool, Santa Claus, and a gift exchange game.  Last year we announced to our friends at this party we were pregnant and this year we got to bring Kelsey.  Every year Santa comes a different way, and this year the volunteer fire department of Odenton brought him on a fire truck.  Kelsey was the only kid who wasn't afraid of him at first.

Miss Jackie said she would hold Kelsey when she could hold her head up.  Kelsey was able to do that for a while, but finally Miss Jackie was around to hold her.

Pool time with Goddaddy Dan and Godmommy Meghan.  Waiting for Santa with Mommy and Daddy.

Santa Claus is coming to town!!!!
Good job Kelsey!  You might just see these pictures again at Christmas time for our card.  :-) Who knows if she'll be this calm come December when she is 11 months old.

Yum, Yum, Yum!

On Sat. July 16th we gave Kelsey rice cereal for the first time.  She took it very well and has enjoyed it everyday.  As you can see we had to hold her hands down because she wanted to hold the spoon.  She sits with us at meal times and chews on spoons, so she thought this one was for her.

I ate it all, see! :-)

Stamping Fun!

NanNan, Cousin Tammie, Godmommy Meghan, and Miss Sarah came over to stamp some cards. We spread out in the kitchen at the table and worked hard for 6 hours.  It was a very productive day.  A nap was even necessary for NanNan.

Boyfriends

Kelsey and I have had some playdates this summer and lately it's been with older boys.  Future boyfriends?  Who knows?!?!?

 Left:
Liam, 7 months

Right: Jenn and Ben, 2 years old.

Dean, 9 months.                                                               Prettygirls (Robin's college friends)

So, place your bets now on who you think Kelsey will choose.  She has a great bunch of guys who will at least be wonderful friends and watch out for Kelsey.  Thanks everyone for the great times!!!

Can you do this?

Kelsey has been able to put her foot in her mouth for a little bit, but on July 6th I finally got it on camera.  She was doing it in her crib alot during nap time and then would stop when I would get the camera.

Once she sees the camera, she stops. :-)

6 months!!!

It's what everyone says, but it's so true, "6 months has gone by so fast."  Kelsey is doing great.  Coming up in the next few days will hopefully be some updates on what has been going on.  Now that I have my computer back after Grandpa used it for a class he was taking, I am putting up pictures.  So, here we go....

Happy half birthday Kelsey!  NanNan and Grandma came by today to see Kelsey.  We also had our 6 month appt. where we found out she is 13 lbs 10 oz. and 26 inches long.  So, she is still in the 10th percentile on weight and 70th on height.

Another First!

After lots of prompting we finally got Kelsey to roll from back to tummy!  The video is the third time in a row that she did it and Mommy wasn't too happy with Daddy that he kept prompting Kelsey to roll when she had stopped her video recording.
Grandma, Aunt Jari, Mommy, and Daddy all witnessed the first one-- but only Daddy really saw what happened.  We made Kelsey do it a second time to prove that she could.  Then, we recorded the third.  Enjoy!

4th of July (cont.)

On the 4th of July Godmommy Meghan and Goddaddy Dan came over.  What is more patriotic than Kelsey and Mark in Phillies outfits?  How convenient that the Phillies colors are Red, White, and Blue.

Kelsey and her new friend Sophie, a squeaky teether made of 100% natural rubber and food paint.  Thanks Godmommy Meghan for the wonderful present!!!

Happy 4th of July!

We went to our friends Jackie and Tony's house for a 4th of July party on Saturday.  They had a Beer 'Lympics competition where Mark won 1st place.  Kelsey and I observed from the side and had a great time.  She was passed around to many different people for play and naptime.  A good time was had by all!

Thanks Ms. Brenda and Ms. Susan for helping Kelsey get her naps in while the party continued around her.

New Friend Jack

I was super excited to find out one of my best friends, Lauren, from high school was going to have a little one just 4 months after me. Lauren and I met on the first day of 9th grade and had every class together except one our freshman year and have been friends ever since. Lauren and Chris had Jack on May 27th.
We had a great visit and can't wait for more playdates!

So, we switched babies, but just for pictures. :-)
Can't believe Kelsey was that small only a few months ago.
Not sure why there is no picture of Chris, but he was there too.  Sorry Chris!
